Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT)

ACT’s EcoRover All-Terrain Wheelchair

Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) is committed to creating access to our preserves for everyone in our community to be able to recreate and enjoy the unique and protected landscapes of North Central Florida.

Use of the EcoRover Chair is free of charge!  There are no entrance fees to preserves.

ACT’s EcoRover program is aimed to provide recreational access to our trail systems and events to the community and increase access to wild Florida for all. ACT’s first EcoRover was purchased with funds generously awarded as part of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation National Paralysis Resource Center 2023 Direct Effect 2nd Cycle Quality of Life grant program. In February 2026, ACT has welcomed a second EcoRover all-terrain wheelchair, generously funded by Cox Communications!
